Salera’s started 2010 with 21 stores – 15 in Victoria and six in Queensland – rising to 23 the following year. In October 2017, Indian jewellery company Tara Jewels acquired a forty nine per cent stake in Bevilles, 4 years after forming a “strategic alliance” with the Australian jewelry retailer. Not only does Bevilles operate fewer stores today than it did in 2010, over the following years two stores were closed and, in April 2014, the chain entered voluntary administration.
